I read something today that made me pause and consider some activities we do as professionals. Each one of us left our institution of study with a toolkit of ideas for teaching our subject areas. Some of us left those institutions LONG ago (not naming any names here) and have seen many trends in education come and go. Ultimately, all of our content areas focus on the health and wellness of people. Science is and should be behind what we do. As more is known about how what we do can influence students in their adult lives, whether it be positive or negative, we really ought to maintain our best practice in anlignment with what is best for our students-not becuase that's the way it's always been done.
